The Buddy System started out as a three piece band with Jerik on synthesizer/keyboard, Micah on vocals, and Ginno on drums in late 2008. From then on, The Buddy System expanded to playing at their high school and charity and other events on the island alongside The Musicianary Group shows. The Buddy System has opened for rock bands such as The Relay, Battery Alley, Prevail, and Safe Haven. "The Buddy System EP" that consists of 5 songs was recorded by Jon Estep and Taylor Summerfield and mixed by Randy Charlson, then released on May 26, 2013. The songs "Sea Wind" and "Cara Song" were then featured on Kong FM 93.5 Radio.
