Formed in Kapa'a High School's music production class in 2013 by lead singer/rhythm guitarist Ryan Lapilio (21) and keyboardist/vocalist Justin Vea (20), Private Cowboy is out to give the post-grunge genre a new lease on life.

... They were also in a talent show that took place at the Waimea Theater, playing Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'", but failed to place in the top four. Despite that, the two have worked hard on their aspiring music career.
Aside from the two talent shows, the duo has not yet played any live gigs, but have not ruled that possibility out.
The duo is currently attending college at Kauai Community College in order to get their degrees and/or certificates because, hey- even musicians need some edification.
Private Cowboy has not yet released any songs to iTunes but has posted some demo songs to YouTube. They are waiting to find a decent recording studio to use in order to record some quality-produced songs.
They are also currently seeking a bassist, drummer, and lead guitarist to complete their lineup.
In the near future, the band hopes to move to the city of Nashville, Tennessee to expand their music.
