Steve Dubey has been performing on Kauai since 1989, first as a regular member of the 8 piece funk/r&b band "Pacific Sound Machine", which in later years has become primarily a convention band, rarely playing for the public. Steve has been busy as a member of various ensembles , including as a sideman/guest musician and guest studio player, with various Mainland bands and artists. He is comfortable in a wide array of Genres, including Jazz, Reggae, Blues, Funk, and top 40. He is regular member of the St Michael's Jazz Festival "house band" , the KCC jazz ensemble, and co founder of the Tiki Tonics, featuring Kirk Smart on Guitar. Most recently, Steve is involved in performing with Rumba De Fuego, Kauai's premier latin dance band.
