MADISON TODAY - FROM KAUAI TO LOS ANGELES
As of February 2015, Madison has recently relocated to Los Angeles, California in order to expand her career to the next level, with the goal of taking her music and career worldwide over the next few years.

MADISON'S KAUAI STORY
Madison, a 16 year old singer-songwriter, full-time professional musician, comes from the North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii. With many media articles written about Madison, in multiple island and worldwide publications, it has been said:
"Madison is a rare treasure, worth seeking out & discovering while on Kauai...". It has also been predicted that "...this young blonde-haired, blued-eyed rising star, with that smoky, velvety voice to fall in love with, is destined to grow her music and career far beyond the shores of Hawaii...".

These endorsements alone, have continually brought new audiences for 3 + years, to local Kauai venues to discover Madison and her music. Until Madison's recent move to LA, one could catch her at one of her regular performances at some of the most exclusive, top rated venues on her beautiful island (i.e. the St. Regis etc.).

Everyone, both visitors and locals alike, are now sad to feel her absence from the local Hawaii music scene, yet her fans recognize that it was just a matter of time until this island treasure would move to the mainland, in order to further her career, and take her talent and music to a broader worldwide audience. Even with Madison's absence from the island, she will always consider Kauai "Home," and Kauai will consider her their "Island Girl" .

With her instantly recognizable, velvety-smooth, rich, smoky tone, fused with a contemporary-pop sound (and a little island magic), Madison plays her ukulele and guitar at every performance.

Though she naturally makes every song she takes on uniquely her own, she has been compared to a young Colbie Caillat / Jack Johnson, sprinkled with the soul of Adele, the passion, range and charisma of Bruno Mars, the cleverness of Lily Allen, the unique, addictive tone of an Ellie Goulding, and the smoothness and sheer talent of John Mayer.

Whether performing covers by these and other favorite artists, or singing her own original songs, this young natural beauty's home-grown, organic sound is easily & instantly recognizable, and hard to forget, once heard. Audiences continually say after they’ve had the pleasure of hearing Madison’s voice, they are left wanting more, which causes many to continue following her performances again and again.

Though she has spent her time and energy concentrating primarily on her live performance career, she has organically started to build a worldwide following, from Kauai visitors discovering her, and then taking the music and memory of this "island girl" back home with them.

With her unique, 'old-soul' voice and a maturity beyond her years, most are mesmerized and then surprised when they discover Madison's actual age. She seems to be loved by both young and old. As a result, Madison's exponentially growing fan base now consists of an unusually wide age range, from multiple generations, as well as in multiple countries around the world.

DETAILS OF MADISON'S LOCAL KAUAI START AT 13-
Madison began singing at a young age and started performing professionally at 13 years old. She learned to play and accompany herself first with the ukulele, then followed by learning to play the acoustic guitar and electric guitar, as well. Self-taught on these instruments, and gifted with her unique, beautiful tone, as well as with a natural ability to write her own songs, Madison was first written up as "The 13 Year Old North Shore Musical Prodigy" in her island's main local newspaper (See Garden Island Newspaper article-Link below).

2012 to 2013 - If you were on Kauai 2012 or 2013, chances are you could have discovered Madison at one of your favorite resorts or restaurants on island (i.e. The St. Regis, Kauai Beach Resort, Oasis on the Beach, Brennecke's, Keoki's Paradise, The Sheraton, etc.). Between the ages of 14 & 15 years old, she was home-schooled the first four hours of her day. She would then switched gears and perform in the evenings full time, 4 to 5 times a week, at some of the most exclusive venues on Kauai.

This experience and intense training was invaluable to the development of depth and maturity of performance skills Madison obtained at a young age. Though she chose to continue working a very busy schedule, Madison will be the first to tell anyone, she loves her life and her journey thus far. She feels she was born to do exactly what she is doing.

2014 - At the beginning of 2014, Madison went on hiatus from performing in front of live audiences full time on Kauai, and instead, went to the mainland for six months. She spent her time there exclusively writing, creating, collaborating and producing her 2nd album with the help of a team of highly credited music industry veterans. DETAILS OF MADISON'S FIRST ORIGINALS & VIDEOS-

Madison first launched her professional music career in the summer of 2011 when she wrote her first original song “Shy Girl”. She quickly followed up with another original called “Those Boys”, a Kauai girl’s tribute / shout-out from across the ocean, to the boy band from the UK ‘One Direction”.

Coinciding music videos of these two original songs, filmed on the picturesque North Shore of Kauai, were released on YouTube (mid 2012). These two releases launched Madison for the first time on the internet / YouTube. Shortly after these two videos, other live performance videos were periodically released on YouTube. AWARD WINNER AT KAUAI MUSIC FESTIVAL-

That same summer Madison's songwriter abilities were recognized by a panel of music industry leaders when she won a best songwriting award at The Kauai Music Festival.

Around this same time period, an article was published in Kauai’s Main newspaper, The Garden Island. There Madison was recognized as one of Kauai’s treasures, with the attention-grabbing headline: “Shy Girl-Madison: North Shore’s Musical Prodigy, just a normal 13 year old girl…”.

FIRST ALBUM RELEASE-

Madison released her first album/CD of originals called “I Am Just A Girl” at just 13 years old. Along with the release of that first album, she also drew a sold-out crowd at her Album Release Party which was held at the world famous Tahiti Nui, in Hanalei, on August 30, 2012.

RADIO & SATELLITE

Madison's original songs from her first and second albums, “I am just a Girl” and "Away" are now available on iTunes. They are also playing on multiple Hawaiian island radio stations, as well as on satellite radio worldwide.

ADDITIONAL INTERNATIONAL MEDIA ATTENTION

AND POP MAGAZINE - MADISON CHOSEN TOP 5 TAYLOR SWIFT COVERS WORLDWIDE - In November 2012, after an international YouTube video search by andPOP Magazine, Madison’s unique organic version of “I Knew You Were Trouble” (from the album 'Red') was featured as one of andPOP Magazine's Top Five Taylor Swift cover choices worldwide. This led to a huge jump in Madison's internet numbers overnight. It's fun to look back on that performance now and see how young Madison really sounded then, compared to now.

6 PG. BEAUTY BLISS MAGAZINE ARTICLE - That same month Beauty Bliss magazine, out of Canada, also discovered and fell in-love with Madison’s videos on YouTube, and did a feature article / 6-page spread on her which led to further international attention.
