About Jonathan Reid "Jono"
Arrived on a home built sailboat just after hurricane iniki and was involved in the big rebuild. ... for 5 years after 2004 due to family issues, but returned in 2009 and cranked up La Strada again, but after the lead singer Al took off to Norway with his lovely bride, I decided to shelve the La Strada project.
Sat in with a couple of bands and experimented with a Latin based band for a while, and then decided to try doing a solo instrumental act with amplified backing tracks, guitar and amp. Played for a couple of months at Kinipopo shopping center on Saturday nights mostly, and Port Allen Bar and Grill, and private parties.
My set list includes a bunch of Santana classics, some Beatles, some jazz, Latin, Dire straits, Gary Moore, some blues and easy listening music etc without vocals.
Collaborated with Jon Anderson of 'Yes' on a song I wrote in the mid nineties. Also have the dubious distinction of meeting and chatting to Santana in Poipu for a couple of hours where he showed me some cool tricks and even played over a song on an album I had just put together.(I got to play his guitar as well :)(only on Kauai!)
I make and repair all types of guitars and instruments as well, I still have my sailboat and I recently published my first book on amazon.com
