Music is my favorite thing in the world. I was given my first snare drum when I was 7 years old, didn't start lessons on the set until I was 12. I've taken private lessons off and on for the past 13 years. Although now I am 25 years of age, I have only take music and drumming seriously for about the last 6 years. When I started playing all I wanted to play was Hard Rock or Metal, taking influence from...

... such drummers as David Silveria of Korn and John Dolmayan of System of a Down. Though I have always had an affinity for Classic and Progressive Rock looking to drummers like John Bonham, Billy Cobham and Bill Bruford. Slowly through my drumming career I have learned to love all types of music from Jazz, Funk, Folk to Latin and even Electronic. Currently finding admiration for drummers like Adam Deitch of Lettuce and Cuban Jazz extraordinaire Dafnis Prieto and even Brann Dailor of the Metal outfit Mastodon.
Amidst the aspiring young drummer has also more recently emerged a singer/songwriter. In high school I learned the basics of guitar playing. Recently I have found myself sometimes absorbed with writing and playing original chord and lyrical arrangements. In the near future I will release some recorded originals and hopefully hone my voice enough to play live.
As far as band and live experience goes, I was in a semi-popular Reggae/Rock outfit in and out of high school called Johnny Five with Adam Phelps of Battery Alley, Dustin and Brenna Stratton, Cameron Cox of Applesauce and Dan Muench of Applesauce. I played with them around Kauai and Oahu for about five years before Dustin and Brenna moved. Whilst playing with JFive I found common musical interest with fellow classmate Rory Marsh. Rory and I would play Heavy Metal in his basement for hours and hours. He and I are currently in the band Applesauce as well as Death Falcon and a few other projects. I also found musical connection with Johnny Five sax player Cameron Cox who now sings and plays with Applesauce. Rory and Cameron are my musical Brothers. I've been in other bands on Kauai that include: Abscence of Presence, Roring Hamster, Skunkdog and P.M.R.F.. As well as a band in California called Atomic Machines with fellow Jfiver Dustin Stratton, and a band in Denver called Old Soul.
