The Hawaiian Legends. A concert you will never forget!
Ledward Kaapana, Nathan Aweau, Dennis Kamakahi, and Mike Kaawa

There are times in the history of music when it seems that the stars align just right, inspiration flows, and steadily a magical night materializes --- April 7th will be such a night!

Ledward Kaapana
Widely considered one of the finest musicians Hawai`i has ever produced, Led is equally accomplished on slack key guitar and 'ukulele as well as a powerful singer in both falsetto and baritone. From a famous musical family on the Big Island of Hawaii he proudly shares the traditions of Kalapana village with audiences around the world. He has received numerous awards, including the NEA Heritage Fellowship, America's highest recognition for a traditional artist.

Mike Kaawa
Specializing in the12-string guitar, "The Hawaiian Boy" has been a much-in-demand musician, singer and composer for four decades. Like all four legends, Mike started performing at a young age. After a brief flirtation with rock and roll he committed himself to Hawaiian music, but has always described his style as Hawaiian with attitude. He has shared his robust playing and singing with a host of greats, such as Gabby Pahinui, Moe Keale, Keli`i Taua, Chucky Boy Chock, Roland Cazimero, Na `Oiwi (with Dennis), The Native Hawaiian Band (with Led), The Sons of Hawaii and his own groups.

Rev. Dennis Kamakahi
Hailed as one of the finest composers Hawaii has ever produced, a three time Grammy Winner and a five time Na Hoku Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy) recipient, Dennis has crafted 700 songs, including many standards in both Hawaiian and English. In addition to his songwriting, Dennis is a slack key guitar master, a warm, evocative singer and an accomplished storyteller with special interest in the monarchy era, na paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys), and Hawaiians in the Pacific Northwest. In 2009, Dennis was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.

Nathan Aweau
Three time winner of the Na Hoku Hanohano for Male Vocalist of the Year, Nathan is also a virtuoso bassist who has performed with a host of leading artists in Hawai`i, including 7 years with Hapa and 16 years with The Aliis, the red hot backup band for Don Ho. In recognition of his instrumental talents, Nate has also won the Hoku for Jazz Album and in honor of his composing prowess another for Contemporary Hawaiian. And he's still young yet!

Once again --- TOGETHER!!!
